Intraway Signs Worldwide Agreement to Globally Measure Quality of Experience at Telefónica

Telefónica improves customer experience by measuring end-to-end customers' OTT applications to enhance IP services across all of its broadband operations.

Intraway, a global leader in Quality of Experience measuring and reporting solutions, today announced that Telefónica (NYSE: TEF) has selected Intraway’s unique Quality of Experience (QX) active probing solution, to deliver a measurement and reporting system for fixed broadband and mobile services across Telefónica’s global footprint. Intraway will provide a real-time and historical customer experience performance visibility system for OTT and other IP services, relying in a system already being used by other top CSP's in the Americas over the past 5 years.

The Intraway's QX active probing solution will provide a unified view and unique set of KPI's for quality of service and quality of experience over Telefónica's multi-vendor access networks and backhaul networks for its fixed and mobile broadband services. This solution actively measures and reports the behavior of a range of IP and OTT services, such as video streaming and other increasingly demanding applications, emulating real-time subscriber's experience perception.

"Through this key partnership with Intraway, Telefonica's customers will be able to rely on best in class capabilities to understand the most demanding IP services today around broadband services, that will ultimately lead us to bring the best quality of experience over our networks, in all locations.  We see in Intraway a critical partner for this top priority project," stated Javier Gavilán Casado, Technology and Planning Director (GCTO Office).

"Telefónica's reputation of best in class services over one of the largest global networks, is under constant evolution becoming a world's reference setting the mark for the ever changing landscape of service providers.  We are very excited at Intraway to be part of Telefonica's transformation, supporting their customer experience priority at all levels," stated Intraway Co-Founder, Chief Innovations Officer, Lucas Lodeiro.
